How does avatar creation work?

You pick a few photos of your dog and confirm you're happy to send them. Tail Twin's server uses an AI image model to create a stylized cartoon avatar, then the photos are discarded. If generation is slow or fails, you can retry — and the app keeps working offline with a friendly stand-in avatar.

Where is my data kept?

On your phone. Care history, memories, the scrapbook, streaks, and preferences all live in the app's local storage. There's no account and nothing to log into. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

How do I start over or delete my data?

Open Settings inside the app and choose "Start over" — this erases your Tail Twin from the device. Deleting the app does the same. To remove generated avatar images from our server too, email us at the address above.

I'm not getting reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your device at the time you chose. Check that notifications are allowed for Tail Twin in iOS Settings → Notifications, and that a reminder time is set in the app's settings (it can be turned off entirely with "none").

Missed a day — did I lose everything?

No. Tail Twin is gentle by design: your story waits for you, the streak has a built-in grace day, and nothing is ever lost for being away.
