How does avatar creation work?
You pick a few favorite photos of your dog and give explicit in-app consent. Tail Twin's service uses an AI image model to create a warm, stylized cartoon avatar, then your photos are discarded. The app keeps working offline with a friendly stand-in if generation is slow.
How much does Tail Twin cost?
Tail Twin is free to download and starts with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, it continues with a subscription, so you can decide once you and your Tail Twin have settled in together. You can cancel any time before the trial ends — and there's still no Tail Twin account to create; billing is handled through your Apple ID.
Where is my data kept?
On your phone. Care history, memories, the scrapbook, streaks and preferences all live in the app's local storage. There's no account and nothing to log into. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing is ever lost for being away. Tail Twin is gentle by design: your story waits for you, and the streak has a built-in grace day. Life happens — you just keep going today.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings inside the app and choose "Start over," or simply delete the app — either removes your Tail Twin from the device. To also remove generated avatar images from our server, email support@tailtwin.app.
